Gibson Custom 1984 Designer Series
A lot of cool stuff passes through the shop and this is no exception! Several years back these cabinets were discovered and their story is incredible! Apparently, Gibson Guitars built and painted them with the intention of starting a new amp line. They were then sent to a custom Van detailer that added the vinyl pin-striping. When he'd finished with them the company had decided to abandon the project and weren't interested in them anymore.
40 years later...
The empty cabinets wound up here to be completed. After quite a bit of thought and planning, I decided to combine two vintage circuits as the platform for the builds: the Gibson GA-40 and the Maestro GA-45.
