30 Watt Handwired All-Tube Guitar Amplifier
The Anvil is rooted in the rare but fabulous Alamo guitar amps from the early 50s. It is a two channel amp with all-tube bias-modulating tremolo. The two channels are in phase so the amp can be jumpered across channels or used with an ABY box. Similar to a PA, you can run another guitar or instrument into it (My '31 National Triolian with a Highlander pickup sounds deluxe!). Unlike a PA, this thing really breaks up well when pushed and has a sweet, full compressed sound. In other words, it is legit. It takes pedals well and actually has some clean headroom for the era but can really cut loose when pushed. The meter on the front is wired as a logarithmic VU measuring output like you would find on old recording consoles. So picture 1950s government test equipment, old Ampex tape machines, and hand-wired American tube amplification. That's the soul and spirit of the Anvil. The cabinets are covered in genuine lacquered Army surplus canvas with all of it's history and uniqueness. Every cabinet and chassis are hand-built in the USA and truly one of a kind. A true custom build from top to bottom using the best of components and materials. What are you waiting for? MOVE THE NEEDLE!
